Verona, Grado, Piran
Shortly before the next lock down in November we visited Italy and Slovenia. So wonderful to be able to travel, at least for two weeks, then sitting at home again :-(

Trips again :-)
First trips after lock down! In June we were in Vienna, again in the wonderful Pension Sacher directly on Stefansplatz. In July a couple of days in Bad Reuthe for wellness and finally in August four weeks on Madeira. You may notice that in the fourth week we stayed in a different hotel, the Pestana Carlton Beach Club. Usually we are in the Pestana Palms.

Several small additions
Here I am again, still kind of locked down. No vacations outside of Austria. We had two wonderful weeks in Vienna in August and a nice excursion to Lünersee (about one hour drive).

Corona haircut
Boring home office time, no vacations, no pictures :-(
Barbershops are closed, so I started experimenting on my haircut. What you see here is first 14mm on the top and 5mm on the sides, then going shorter in small steps ending up with a totally shaved head. Like it? It is an interesting experience: how does my wife react, my friends, my neighbors? I can only say that the feeling is very nice and especially in summer really cool :-) You can see the pics in the folder 2020_05_Haircut.

Many new pics
The year started with our Ayurveda cure in Sri Lanka. In August we were on the Azores and discovered a new island: Santa Maria. In between we had two trips to Linz and Vienna, one city trip to Paris and one to Budapest.

Back from the Azores
Sorry for my laziness lately; I promise to be more up to date with my blog in the future :-)
In Spring 2015 we were in the Piemont, Italy. In Summer we had this long trip to the US West Coast and Canada, in October we went to Nordfriesland at the German North Sea. Winter 2015-2016 we again chose the Algarve as our destination. In Spring 2016 we visited London and this Summer we discovered two new islands on the Azores: Terceira and Sao Jorge.

Again a wonderful week in Sicily! This time we had quite some problems arriving as the Etna started erupting. A few hours delay. We discovered a new restaurant "Sands Design", one of the hotspots of Sicilian cuisine!

Short tags removed, music added!
Only a few of you will know what "short tags" mean in PHP, well I replaced them by proper php tags all over the web site. You will notice no difference, but now we are ready for new versions of PHP. And, more important I added the famous recordings of the Gymnasium Jazz Group from 1971. You will find them in the music section. And yes, I am playing bass and composed two of the four songs, one of the other two is from Mozart :-)
